KATRINA On August 29, 2005, as Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, the levees failed in five places and New Orleans filled with water. As a result of Hurricane Katrina (and circumstances surrounding the Hurricane), many of our brothers and sisters in the south have been forced into utterly impossible situations. Families displaced by the hurricane continue to reside all around the country. Ultimately, the people of the Gulf Coast are the greatest sign of hope. Despite setbacks that people in the US rarely suffer, people continue to help each other and fight for their right to return home and the right to live in the city they love. In many instances they become the victims of senseless and callous brutality. The Wilson brothers of Mandrill have formed an alliance with other mainstream artists in order to shed light on this perpetual problem and rid our society of this plague.
